The Hopewell Riverwalk is a 1,700-foot boardwalk that follows the shoreline of the Appomattox River at Hopewell’s City Park. The boardwalk offers two overlooks with benches and beautiful views of the confluence of the James and Appomattox Rivers and historic City Point. Bald eagles, osprey, herons, and other river wildlife are common in this area and can often be viewed from the Riverwalk.The boardwalk is accessible with designated parking and is also pet friendly. Pets must be on leash at all times. Bicycles, skateboards, and other non-mobility devices are prohibited.
