Join this Petersburg National Battlefield Ranger-led walking tour focused upon President Lincoln’s visit to City Point in late March-early April of 1865. General Grant was headquartered at City Point and President Lincoln, along with his wife Mary Todd and son Tad arrived on the evening of March 24 and spent two weeks in the City Point and Petersburg areas working on bringing the Civil War to an end and laying the groundwork for reconstruction. The .5 mile walk will be @ 45-60 minutes in length, so comfortable shoes are encouraged, along with water.
