A not-to-be-missed wonderful family celebration that includes the Hopewell Christmas Parade, the Grand Illumination of Ashford Civic Plaza downtown, and the Downtown Holiday Festival. The parade begins at Cavalier Square Shopping Center and comes into downtown to the Ashford Civic Plaza. There will be caroling on the City Hall Steps. Once Santa has reached the Plaza, the tree and the Civic Plaza will be lit up for the holiday season. Beginning at 6 pm, there will be carriage rides in downtown, lots of fun activities for children at the city’s public library on Cawson Street and Santa will be there for those personal conversations about lists! There will be concessions around the area so that no one gets hungry. It is a night of great fun!
