Presented by The Battersea Foundation

John Plashal, author, photographer & storyteller extraordinaire will present a highly visual program that will introduce us to abandoned places/structures in Virginia, the people who lived and worked in them and the fascinating back stories. Bring a chair or blanket to beautiful Historic Battersea, a perfect venue with its rich stories and resilience to the detrimental effects of time and nature. There will be a very large, inflatable screen and the presentation will begin at sunset. The gates open at 6, there will be music by Iris Schwartz, Southern Exposure Food Truck will be there, wine & beer will be available, or you can bring a picnic. Pets on a leash are welcome. The ticket includes tours of the house and walking tours of the property.
