Innkeepers Bill and Kathy Parsley invite you to enjoy the warmth and hospitality of their 4,800-square-foot cedar log home. Scents of Cedar Bed and Breakfast was custom designed by Bill in 1997. Kathy has added a touch of charm to each nook and cranny. Together with their son, they have decorated the house with collectibles, flea market treasures, antiques and oddities from their travels.
This custom designed log home was proudly featured in the 1998 Original Log Cabin Home sales catalog. It sits nestled on 5.5 wooded acres in historic Prince George County, Virginia. The location is rich in history and in southern hospitality. The complete interior of the B&B is cedar logs and its hardwood floors shine with meticulous care. Bill loves to share the details and challenges of building a log home. He will gladly show off his design for the ‘indoor’ Out House. Scents of Cedar is a non-smoking B&B. If you are traveling with your pet, we will try to accommodate them in our garage with advance planning.
It sits on 5.5 wooded acres along a road that during the Civil War was the Jerusalem Plank Road and the site of the First Battle of Weldon Railroad is nearby. There is a “country chic” Wedding Barn, which is 23’ x 38’ offering a covered setting with soft lighting and a restored church pew from a local church. It is situated alongside a beautiful one-acre pond surrounded by a walking trail. There is ample seating and a built-in sideboard creating a rustic ambiance. The innkeepers offer catering or you may bring in caterers.
